Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: January 1, 2026

At Dorsal Basket, accessible from dorsal-basket.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors and transparency regarding the information we collect. This policy explains what information is collected, how we use it, how cookies operate, and how you can exercise your data protection rights under applicable regulations (including GDPR and international privacy standards).

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information necessary to operate the Service: (a) Account data: your email address, chosen manager username, and country selected during registration. (b) Contact and support: if you reach out directly, we receive your email and message contents. (c) Log files: standard technical logs including IP addresses, browser type, date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, and diagnostic data to maintain server security and prevent abuse.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to: operate, maintain, and preserve the state of your club and simulated matches; process transfers, tactics, and league competitions; authenticate your identity and prevent fraud, bots, or unauthorized multi-accounting; communicate essential service notices (such as password resets); and continuously improve gameplay performance. Under no circumstances do we sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

3. What Are Cookies and How We Use Them

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser to remember information between visits. Dorsal Basket uses only essential, first-party functional cookies: an authentication session cookie (to keep you securely logged in to your club) and a language cookie ('locale') to remember your selected language on return visits.

4. Third-Party Cookies and Advertising

Dorsal Basket does not currently deploy third-party advertising trackers or behavioral analytics cookies. Should external analytics or advertising partners ever be introduced, we will update this policy and seek your consent in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

5. How to Control and Disable Cookies

You can configure your browser at any time to reject, block, or delete cookies through browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.). Note that blocking essential session cookies will prevent you from staying logged in to Dorsal Basket and accessing your club dashboard.

6. Data Protection Rights (GDPR / CCPA / Global)

We fully respect and uphold your statutory data protection rights: (a) Right of access: request copies of the personal data we hold about you. (b) Right to rectification: correct inaccurate or outdated information. (c) Right to erasure ('Right to be forgotten'): request permanent deletion of your account and personal data. (d) Right to restrict or object to processing. (e) Right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us; we respond within a maximum of 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)

Protecting children using online services is of paramount importance. Dorsal Basket does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13 (or under 16 without parental consent where required by local law). If a parent or guardian believes their child provided personal data without permission, please contact us immediately for prompt removal from our systems.

8. Data Security and Storage

We employ technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse: salted/hashed passwords, end-to-end encrypted HTTPS/SSL connections, and restricted database access. Data is retained for as long as your account remains active or until you request its deletion.

9. Policy Updates and Contact

We may periodically update this Privacy and Cookie Policy to reflect changes in regulatory requirements or platform features. We encourage you to review it regularly. For questions or privacy requests, contact us through our official support channels.
